We are very excited to add this lovely, extremely rare 221 to the site! Completely serviced, cleaned, polished, electrically inspected, timed, tuned and sampled - rest assured, this Featherweight 221 will be ready to sew right out of the case. This machine is fitted with its original 110v motor that has been rewound to work at optimum speed and torque.
You might be wondering, "what makes this a French / Canada Featherweight?" This machine comes with its original 'Fabrique au Canada' decal on the back arm of the machine. This machine was manufactured in the USA but sold in France and has the French decal to indicate where the machine was produced. Prior to the production of the 221K in Kilbowie, Scotland, there were very few Featherweights sold outside the USA, but the ones that were often have Canadian parts like the motor seen with this machine. These 'Fabrique au Canada' machines are exceedingly rare with only a few known to exist today. This is the first one we have ever offered for sale!
